Minolta Hi-Matic 7s Classic 35mm Rangefinder Camera- Decorative or For Repair

This camera is non- functional. Its classic retro design is a great piece to display on a book shelf if you are a photographer or are buying for a photography enthusiast. Alternatively, it could be repaired. From what I know, the shutter does not fire and the rangefinder coupler is broken so the patch does not work. This camera is a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s, a classic 35mm rangefinder released in 1966. It was an improved version of the earlier Hi-Matic 7, adding features like a hot shoe for flash and the Contrast Light Compensator (CLC) metering system for better exposure in high-contrast lighting. Lens: Fixed 45mm f/1.8 Rokkor-PF (6 elements in 5 groups). Shutter: Seiko-LA leaf shutter with speeds from 1/4 to 1/500 second, plus Bulb. Exposure Modes: Capable of fully automatic (Program), shutter-priority, aperture-priority, and full manual modes. Film Speed: Supports ISO (ASA) ranges from 25 to 800. Focusing: Manual focus using a coupled superimposed rangefinder with a minimum distance of 0.9m (3ft). Battery: Originally designed for a 1.35V PX625 mercury battery (now discontinued). Modern 1.5V alkaline or zinc-air replacements are often used, though 1.5V batteries may require meter recalibration for accuracy. Quick ship
